A bird keeps flying to the same spot under the old tree. The Mystery Club follows it.
In the grass, they find a red thread. At the end of the thread is a small metal box.
The club discusses what to do. It could be private. It could be dangerous.
They decide to open it together. It takes courage to touch something that has waited so long.
Inside, they find old photographs, a school badge and a letter from 1974. The writer asks the finder to plant a tree.
They realize it is a time capsule. That afternoon, they plant a small tree beside the old one.
A thought to keep
Some doors are opened best together.
