Ravi is a data analyst. He looks at data all day. Most of it is boring. Today, one number is not.
The sales report says the company sold 900 chairs in one week. That is too many. Ravi checks the computer again.
He is diligent. He checks every row. The real number is 90. Someone added an extra zero.
The meeting starts in ten minutes. Ravi could say nothing. But he is good at his job, and he knows the truth matters.
He speaks considerately. "I think there is a mistake here," he says. "The number is 90, not 900."
The room is quiet. Then the manager says, "Thank you. We almost made a bad order." Ravi feels small and useful at the same time.
A thought to keep
One honest question can save a big mistake.
